Side Arts Blog – Tim Gibbon’s Fun-A-Day
All the most awesome people in Philly live within a two block radius of my house. Case in point: Tim Gibbon. He invited me to come with him on a Sunday morning wheatpasting run for a Side Arts blog post I wrote about Fun-A-Day. As we planned on where to meet up, we promptly discovered we live one block away from each other, and a short block at that. Tim’s Fun-A-Day project was hand-cutting doilies of various shapes and sizes and then wheatpasting them around some places that could use a little sprucing up. On this run, we stuck around our neighborhood, and today as I rode the trolley home I couldn’t help but smile as we passed by one of his giant three-footers gracing a previously big, blank, boring, old wall.
